My research draws upon AI, machine learning, complexity science, philosophy, algorithmic information theory and biology to answer questions about artificial intelligence, life, meaning and consciousness. 

Theory must be falsifiable, and it is more compelling when applied to build functioning machines. I'm working to build things using my theories. Mainly sample and energy efficient machine learning and applications thereof.
